The LOVE Network Please consider helping a local family in need at Christmas by joining our L.O.V.E. Network. A Christmas tree with families’ needs gift tags will be located in the Methodist Church, Christian Church, St. Joseph's Catholic Church, EV Malt Shop, English Valleys Schools, and the Millersburg Senior Dining Center. Please take at least one tag for a gift of $20 or less and tear off the blank section. Then fill out your name on the tag, and leave it in the basket by the tree. After purchasing at least one gift, wrap the gift, tape the tag you have on the outside of the gift, and return the gift to the place where you got the tag no later than Thursday, December 10. The local Fortnightly Club collects the donated presents, and, using food collected by area Boy Scouts, works with the English Valleys Food Bank to provide food and gifts for families. They helped 32 local families (130 people) last year. If you have any questions or would rather donate money, please contact Nancy Evans (319-664-3458). Thank you for your compassion! |

Whether you’re an “old pro” or a “first- timer,” we encourage you to consider joining the North English Christian Church as we put special gifts into Christmas Shoeboxes and send them overseas to children who simply will not have a Christmas without them. Check out our table in the sanctuary overflow area for all the details, including what to send and how to package the items. Shoeboxes will be collected November 1st-21st, with our delivery date set for November 21st to Asbury UMC in Wellman. |

The Mitten Tree If you’re looking for another option for local ministry, don’t hesitate to get the family involved in donating several pairs of new mittens for our annual Mitten Tree at the front of the church. All mittens stay here to help kids keep a little warmer on those cold days at school and play. Please have all mittens here by the morning of December 20th. |
